Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to oversee and enhance the maintenance and operational efficiency of our luxury property. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated team and implement innovative solutions to uphold the hotel's high standards of excellence and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Stay informed and adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintenance and Operations: Ensure superior standards are consistently maintained daily.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Act as the Director of Engineering in their absence and collaborate with the Executive Team to achieve the hotel's goals.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Oversee the hotel's maintenance and preventative maintenance program.
  • Division Standards: Maintain division standards and control objectives.
  • Annual Objectives: Establish and implement annual objectives for the Engineering department.
  • Training and Development: Provide continuous training and development to ensure team skills are up to date.
  • Work Order Management: Respond to daily work orders promptly, ensuring proper follow-up and completion.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum years of experience in a similar position for a luxury property.
  • Project Management: Strong familiarity with project management and collaborative software.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proven knowledge of a variety of heating and cooling systems.
  • Operational Standards: Ability to design and implement operating standards and procedures.
  • Code Compliance: Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, fire, and local mechanical codes.
