Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Histopathology at North York General Hospital.

About the Role:

This is a full-time temporary position with 8 hour shifts, days shifts, performing laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and precision. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance of equipment, identifying problems, and taking corrective action. They will also participate in quality control and quality improvement programs, use LIS to record and report information, and provide excellent patient and family-driven care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.

Requirements:

  • CMLTO registered
  • CSMLS certified
  • Experience with immunohistochemistry and FISH is an asset
  • Experience in histology lab at hospital setting an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English an asset

What We Offer:

A highly competitive total compensation package that includes benefits, pension, and vacation. This package is estimated to include a salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
