  1. Supervise Maintenance Team: Supervise the daily activities of the in-house maintenance team and subcontractors according to weekly planning and emergencies.
  2. Manage Personnel: Manage the personnel under his/her immediate responsibility providing instruction, coaching and advice.
  3. Collaborate with Maintenance Planner: Work in close collaboration with the maintenance planner under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
  4. Ensure Accountability: Ensure and maintain a good work climate within his team and ensure the accountability of the personnel in terms of order and cleanliness to be respected in the work areas.
  5. Perform Audits: Carry out and document audits of tasks, work permits and maintenance of premises.
  6. Ensure Health and Safety: Ensure the application of health and safety rules, environmental protection and the behavior of personnel.
  7. Document Non-Conformance Events: Ensure tasks are performed according to work instructions and procedures established under the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs and document non-conformance events.
  8. Other Duties: All other related duties.

Qualifications:

  • DEC or DEP in Industrial Mechanics: DEC or DEP in industrial mechanics or relevant experience.
  • Minimum Three to Five Years of Experience: Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in personnel management.
  • Minimum Ten Years of Industrial Maintenance Experience: Minimum ten (10) years of industrial maintenance experience in the chemical and petrochemical field.
  • Relevant Experience in Personnel Management: Relevant experience in personnel management in a unionized work environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge of industrial maintenance in the chemical and petrochemical field.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to mobilize a work team.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Time Management: Good time management, priority setting and ability to manage and resolve technical issues quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills.
  • Leadership and Initiative: Leadership, initiative and organizational skills.
  • Proactivity: Demonstrate a high level of proactivity.
  • Coaching and Staff Development: Coaching and staff development skills.
  • Change Management: Ability to lead change while maintaining operational effectiveness.
  • Computer Skills: Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, results oriented and computer skills, particularly excellent proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a weekday work schedule. The incumbent must be available during peak production periods and must be able to work under pressure occasionally. The incumbent spends approximately 80% of his/her time in the field and 20% in the office.
