About the Role

We're seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in transmission lines design. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Analysis: Develop safe and efficient designs for transmission lines, taking into account various technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects, while meeting quality and safety standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex design and field engineering problems, using independent studies and judgment to recommend safe solutions.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance to other engineers, contributing to CIMA+'s engineering practices and standards.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by defining engineering scope, establishing design criteria, and approving technical documentation.
  • Design Documentation: Prepare detailed design documents, including reports, specifications, proposals, estimates, and test plans.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in transmission projects, with a proven track record of delivering complex design solutions.
  • Certifications: Registered member of a Professional Engineering association in BC/Canada, or eligible for registration in BC.
  • Skillset: Proficient in design/analysis software and CAD systems, with excellent communication skills in English.
