Mazzei Electric, a renowned electrical services company based in Nanaimo, BC, is seeking a skilled Electrical Foreperson to join their team in Victoria, BC. As a key member of the company, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of electrical projects, and contributing to the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control daily operations, including the completion of work scope, adherence to company OHS policies and procedures, and on-site inventory management.
  • Develop and implement construction schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, ensuring accurate execution of projects.
  • Collaborate with site coordinators and general superintendents to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain professionalism in client and contractor relationships.
  • Install and troubleshoot electrical components in multi-family residential, commercial, and institutional structures.
  • Adhere to safety programs and policies, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and participate in safety training as needed.
  • Exhibit a positive, can-do attitude in the workplace and with clients.
  • Provide instruction and leadership to apprentices and journeypersons.
  • Ensure punctual and reliable attendance on worksites.
  • Understand and apply Arc Flash and Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

Requirements:

  • Red-Seal Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on multi-family residential and commercial sectors.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Class B FSR or higher, an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
  • Commercial and residential construction experience is required.
  • Experience in other electrical fields is an asset.
  • Basic hand tools and cordless power tools.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license, preferred.
  • Willingness to work out of town, longer shifts, and/or evening shifts.
