About the role:
We're looking for a skilled Albanian language expert to join our team as a Localization QA Tester. This is an on-call position based in Montreal, with training provided for those without prior experience. As a Localization QA Tester, you'll be responsible for testing games to identify linguistic, visual, and cultural issues in the localized text of various game titles on mobile, PC, and console platforms.
The Quest:
- Test video game titles and verify all text, images, and voice-over components in Albanian
- Find translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic errors in video game titles
- Report errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document in a clear manner
- Provide resolutions for errors reported to improve the linguistic and translated content
- Follow and respect terminology guidelines
- Cross-check issues between different languages with your team
- Report to and follow instructions from the Test Lead
- Address and escalate problems to the Test Lead
The Skills:
- Native-level language competency in Albanian
- Proof of existing eligibility to work in Canada
- Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices and knowledge of their terminology
- Passion for video games
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Professional competency in English
