Vocational Evaluator Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Evaluator to support unemployed individuals through assessments, addressing employment barriers, and identifying appropriate job opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support to clients to facilitate attachment to employment.
- Assess the vocational potential of clients through in-depth personal interviews and evaluations of work experience, educational background, and medical conditions.
- Support clients by assisting to coordinate services for the individual's rehabilitation and return to work plan, including interviews with physicians or other multidisciplinary health professionals.
- Identify and match transferable skills to current labour trends, and conduct labour market surveys.
- Prepare complete reports with rehabilitation plans included, adhering to defined timelines, that provide expert advice for the client and all stakeholders involved.
- Resume building and facilitating interview skills training.
- Conduct aptitude, interest, academic, and B-level IQ testing, and complete residual capacity determination as needed.
- Extensive research and report writing are essential; knowledge and experience with the NOC, OaSIS, and Career Handbook are considered highly advantageous.
- Provide one-to-one support and group facilitation in employment preparation topics.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in vocational evaluation, along with vocational rehabilitation, or insurance-based setting.
- The designation of any of the following: Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE), Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional with a TSA Pathway (CVRP-TSA), Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE), or CVRP, alongside membership with the Vocational Rehabilitation Association in Canada, is considered highly advantageous; eligibility to obtain one of these credentials is required.
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree or other transferable post-secondary education. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- Knowledge of procedures and resources for assessing transferable skills, completing labour market surveys, conducting Vocational Evaluations, and community resources for providing vocational rehabilitation services.
- Previous experience in the completion of Transferable Skills Analysis, Vocational Evaluations, Vocational Testing, and/or Labour Market Survey is preferred.
