We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Establishment Manager to join our team at MEHFIL BAR AND GRILL.


Job Summary


The Dining Establishment Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service, ensuring exceptional customer service and high-quality culinary experiences.


Salary Information


The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications.


Key Responsibilities


As a Dining Establishment Manager, you will be accountable for:



  • Establishing effective methods to meet work schedules and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations
  • Supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence
  • Estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring efficient inventory management
  • Hiring and managing food service staff, focusing on recruitment and retention strategies
  • Preparing budgets and cost estimates, analyzing financial data to inform business decisions
  • Maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for operational improvements
  • Preparing and submitting reports, presenting key findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Coordinating food order summaries for the chef, streamlining communication and workflow
  • Supervising and checking the delivery of food trolleys, ensuring timely and efficient service

Work Environment and Physical Demands


This role requires working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods. The physical demands of this position include bending, crouching, kneeling, and being physically demanding.
