We are seeking a skilled Network Deployment Engineer to join our team at Yves R. Hamel et Associés. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and detail engineering the deployment of FTTH/FTTC/FTTN networks and outdoor telecommunication networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, design, and detail engineering of network deployments.
  • Conduct technical surveys to ensure accurate network design.
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications according to client requirements.
  • Evaluate and select equipment suppliers to ensure high-quality network components.
  • Coordinate various elements of deployment projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Review and analyze network standards, products, and installation methods to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Analyze and solve technical problems that arise during network deployment.
  • Participate in project advancement meetings to ensure project goals are met.
  • Collaborate with other teams involved in a project to ensure seamless execution.
  • Provide technical support to clients to ensure their network needs are met.
  • Conduct quality control on design documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage client inquiries and requests related to equipment during deployment and provisioning.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in network deployment, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of Quebec and Ontario specific permit procedures, support calculations, and administrative procedures to interface with various infrastructure owners and operators.
  • Experience with outdoor networks and fibre optic deployment.
  • Knowledge of optoelectronic equipment, cabling, networking, and IP solutions.
  • Experience with FTTH/FTTC/FTTN equipment, including interconnect panels, MDU, PON, etc.
  • Knowledge of telecommunications and cable network industry standards is an asset.
  • Capacity for technical writing and communication.
  • Availability for travel within Quebec and Canada.
  • ASP Accreditation (Health and Safety on Construction Sites) is an asset.
  • Basic office software knowledge, including Microsoft Office, MS-Project, Visio, and AutoCAD.
