Aerospace Manufacturing Process Engineer

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Calgary, AB. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating and improving manufacturing documentation to support efficient aircraft production.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in methods engineering and process planning, with a strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges, implement improvements, and maintain quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Documentation and Standards:
  • Create and update Engineering Masters (EM) and Work Instructions (WI) to define manufacturing processes, part specifications, and sequences.
  • Engineering Changes:
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Notices (ECNs) to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to streamline workflows, improve process efficiency, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) compliance.
  • Root Cause Analysis:
  • Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement data-driven solutions using statistical tools like Minitab.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Oversee multiple projects, collaborating across departments to ensure timely completion and alignment with production goals.
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in aerospace or large-component manufacturing, with hands-on methods engineering and process planning experience.
  • Advanced skills in CATIA, AutoCAD, MS Office, and ERP systems like SAP.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality management, with experience in continuous improvement and QMS standards.
