Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development to lead our business development efforts in Quebec and Atlantic Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic business relationships, and overseeing the implementation of business strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Manage and nurture key relationships with clients, partners, and Indigenous communities to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Prepare and present business proposals and pitches to potential investors, clients, and Indigenous organizations to secure new business opportunities.
  • Analyze the company's competitive landscape and market trends to forecast business goals and identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the development of a business development team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Manage the company's business development budget and expenditures to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at the 'C Suite' level to understand and communicate prospective opportunities.
  • Represent the company in the marketplace through industry conferences, professional associations, and events to build brand awareness and establish thought leadership.
  • Foster relationships with Indigenous communities, understand their needs, and ensure our business practices respect and align with their values.

Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or finance.
  • At least five years of high-end strategic selling and M&A experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Prior experience working with Indigenous communities and a deep understanding of Indigenous culture and values.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office applications, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Full bilingualism in both English and French is an asset.
