Corporate Planning Administrator

Location: Ottawa

Job Type: Full-time

Estimated Salary:$96,220 - $121,341 per year

This role is responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance of the cloud-based financial and enrolment planning software system of the College.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the software enhancement request process, planning and implementing features through bi-annual Workday releases, and overseeing model maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficient management of the software enhancement request process
  • Plan and implement features through Workday releases
  • Oversee model maintenance and support
  • Review and analyze monthly financial statements for capital projects and Strategic Investment Priorities
  • Coordinate variance analysis from Budget Officers
  • Assist in Business Case studies and provide guidance for new opportunities
  • Participate in business process design and redesign initiatives to support the College Finance function

Required Qualifications:

  • Three (3) year post-secondary Business Administration Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration, and possess a CPA designation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of College operations on a daily basis
  • Strong analytical and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain standards for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate and apply general business principles and Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS)
  • Significant experience with large organization financial accounting, budgeting, and Human Resource systems
  • Ability to understand and apply internal control standards in a large organization
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret/apply business policies procedures and systems
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to resolve conflicts in work situations
  • Project management skills
  • Experience delivering presentations to audiences at various levels of the organization
