About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Brand Marketing Strategist to join our team and play a vital role in planning, executing, and optimizing marketing campaigns that promote our brand and products. This individual will work closely with our creative teams to develop content for social channels, drive brand discovery, customer growth, and sales. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker, able to develop results-focused product launch campaigns, and have strong knowledge of mainstream social media channels and effective content creation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Campaign Management: Manage assigned brand and product campaigns from start to finish, ensuring efficient workflow, gathering requirements, developing briefs, executing launches, coordinating creative asset development, and overseeing budgets, timelines, feedback, and approvals.
  2. Project Coordination: Bring energy to projects to ensure they come to life on time and as planned, from kick-start meetings to campaign wrap-ups and debriefs.
  3. Support Senior Leadership: Provide executional support to the Senior Brand Director for product and brand campaigns as assigned.
  4. Identify Opportunities: Identify brand collaborations or partnerships that offer new and creative activation opportunities.
  5. Budget Management: Manage assigned budget, negotiate contracts, and work closely with external partners and vendors to ensure seamless activations.
  6. Community Activations: Lead influencer relations, focusing on free product seeding to grow organic storytelling and product placement on third-party channels, supporting product and brand campaigns as well as always-on promotions.
  7. Data Analysis: Use data and analytics to track the performance of campaigns and projects, assess effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement, making data-driven recommendations to enhance campaign outcomes.
  8. Post-Mortem Analyses: Create post-mortem analyses for campaigns and projects, suggesting recommendations for future initiatives, and work with partners to explore the highlights and challenges of each campaign and product launch, presenting these findings to the Senior Brand Manager and others as directed.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of general brand marketing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating marketing campaigns and/or projects from strategy/brief creation, execution, launch to results review.
  • Strong knowledge of mainstream social media channels and what constitutes effective content as well as influencer/content creator relations.
  • Experience in content creation including but not limited to social media.
  • Ability to assign KPIs to marketing and business goals.
  • Proven experience tracking, analyzing, and interpreting marketing campaign/project results with recommendations to optimize to improve outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the graphic design and creative development process with the ability to work efficiently with graphic designers and writers.
  • A start-up mentality, entrepreneurial spirit, and familiarity with grassroots marketing.
  • A creative thinker with the ability to collaborate with others on cross-functional projects.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup culture.
Benefits and Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $75,000-$90,000 CAD, depending on qualifications, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
