About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead our team of Unit Managers in managing complex claims in auto, commercial, and housing sectors. This role will involve directing, developing, and coaching Unit Managers to ensure compliance with operational policies, procedures, controls, and performance standards.
The successful candidate will prepare reports for management to reflect loss development, potential/actual financial exposure, coverage issues, and claim and recovery strategies. Additionally, they will work with management to execute corporate strategies, create performance targets and goals, and respond to customer concerns and complaints effectively and timely.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of Unit Managers, providing direction, development, and coaching to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports for management to reflect loss development, potential/actual financial exposure, coverage issues, and claim and recovery strategies.
- Work with management to execute corporate strategies, create performance targets and goals, and respond to customer concerns and complaints effectively and timely.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer service standards.
- University degree preferred combined with 5 years of experience, CIP designation (asset), or industry experience as an equivalent.
- Valid AMF license required (Quebec), 5a and 5b.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of handling complex claims in auto, commercial, and housing sectors.
- Bilingual (French-English) spoken and written.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of claim operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
We offer an estimated annual salary of $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes an Annual Shared Success Program based on performance, Annual Merit Increases, Registered Retirement Savings Plan with a matching contribution component, and more.
