About the Role

The Executive Director of IT Solutions will be responsible for driving the overall strategy and growth of Boreal Tech Labs. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the business, leading client acquisition efforts, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Set company goals and KPIs, tracking performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Business Development
    • Lead client acquisition efforts and build strong relationships with decision-makers.
    • Identify and pursue consultancy opportunities in IT, AI, and digital transformation.
  • Operational Management
    • Ensure timely and successful delivery of all projects, managing teams effectively.
  • Team Leadership and Culture
    • Recruit, mentor, and lead senior management, ensuring the right talent is in place.
    • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
  • Risk Management and Compliance
    • Identify and mitigate business risks, including market, operational, and legal challenges.
    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in all company operations.
  • Brand Building and Public Relations
    • Develop the firm's brand, positioning it as a leader within the sector.
    • Oversee marketing efforts, including digital presence and client outreach strategies.
Compensation and Benefits

This is a permanent and full-time position offering a competitive salary of $70 per hour with possible bonuses based on performance. The benefits package includes:

  • Vacation Days: 3 weeks of paid vacation
  • Sick Days: 7 paid days off due to illness
  • Personal Days: 10 paid days off due to personal illness, injuries, or medical emergencies.
  • Work From Home (WFH) Options: Flexibility to work remotely on a hybrid schedule.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  1. Required Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering is required.
    • Graduate education in business or computer science is preferred.
  2. Required Work Experience and Skills:
    • Proven leadership in startups.
    • Experience leading or founding a startup or scaling-up a small-to-medium-sized IT consultancy firm.
    • Success in leading teams through completion of profitable projects.
  3. Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of IT services, including business intelligence and data analysis.
    • Knowledge of the state-of-the-art in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and software development methodologies.
  4. Crisis Management:
    • Proven ability to manage risks and handle crises, ensuring business continuity during challenging times.
  5. Global Perspective:
    • Experience managing cross-border projects or leading international teams, with knowledge of global IT trends.
    • Knowledge of international business payment systems.
