About the Opportunity

FCC Canada Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in downtown Toronto. As a key member of our Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations Project, you will play a vital role in managing the procurement process and ensuring project requirements are met efficiently and effectively.

Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for developing competitive procurement documents, scopes, and schedule commitments. This includes familiarizing yourself with procurement disciplines, such as subcontracts, purchasing, material control, expediting, and logistics. You will support the procurement lead in coordinating with clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define roles and responsibilities.

  • Develop and manage procurement plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in drafting RFP/RFQ documents and identifying key suppliers.
  • Communicate with suppliers on critical procurement-related matters.
  • Facilitate contract negotiations and implementation.
  • Execute elements of the project procurement plan in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in the infrastructure/construction industry.
  • Technical knowledge in construction-related materials and services.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management skills, working well under pressure.
  • Solid PC skills with MS Office and database tools.
