Join Scotiabank as a Senior Digital Product Manager and contribute to the overall success of onboarding new-to-bank customers.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of identity verification (know your client), authentication, security, anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud controls. You will work closely with other product managers, bank stakeholders, software engineers, and designers to translate customer journey directives into actionable deliverables.

You will be responsible for managing relationships with various business teams, partners, and leadership, ensuring their requirements are translated into the right products and journey. This includes managing expectations, prioritizing deliverables, and communicating effectively.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the new-to-bank customer onboarding journey.
  • Manage relationships with various business teams, partners, and leadership.
  • Work closely with business, compliance, and control functions to negotiate and push for good customer experience and high business value.
  • Build reusable and scalable customer-facing software that will be leveraged by internal teams.
  • Lead problem discoveries to understand customer needs, current challenges, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Define customer and business value by establishing relevant objectives and key results.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to measure product success.
  • Use data to drive decisions, build hypothesis, test, fail, and iterate to formulate an agile product development approach.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog and support the creation of detailed user stories.
About You:

We are looking for someone with 6+ years of experience working as a product manager shipping consumer-facing software solutions. You should have a deep understanding of multiple functional areas, including product management, agile/scrum, engineering, UX/UI design, and identity verification.

You will be a master of identifying and solving ambiguous problems, influencing others by persuasion, and inspiring a multi-disciplinary team to reach ambitious goals. Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail, are essential.
