We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Professional to join our team at Cardinal Nannies. In this part-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare services to families in their own homes.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have experience working with children and possess excellent communication skills. They will be expected to create a safe and engaging environment for the children in their care, while also maintaining a clean and organized home.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Caring for infants and children, including feeding, bathing, and putting them to bed;
  • Preparing meals and snacks for the children;
  • Engaging in activities that promote learning and development, such as reading and singing songs;
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment, including cleaning and disinfecting toys and surfaces;
  • Communicating effectively with parents and other caregivers to ensure seamless transitions and provide updates on the child's daily activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • A valid CPR and First Aid certificate;
  • A clean Vulnerable Sector Check.

You will also need to be able to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time.
