Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Clinical Engineer to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering Shared Administrative Service, you will provide strategic and operational medical device technology leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical equipment technology planning, including assessment, pre-purchase consultation, technical evaluation, and clinical evaluation coordination.
  • Manage the life-cycle of medical equipment, including incoming inspection, repair, modification, and upgrading.
  • Perform Performance Assurance management of critical medical equipment, including Performance Verification, Preventive Maintenance, and Safety Testing.
  • Manage risk related to medical devices, including electrical safety, incident investigation, and recalls.
  • Provide medical equipment and general medical device technology education.
  • Offer technical consultation regarding medical device usage.
Requirements
  • One year of directly related experience in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering is required.
  • Familiarity with various computer systems and software packages is essential.
Education
  • A post-secondary degree in clinical engineering, biomedical engineering, or equivalent from an accredited educational institution is required.
  • A Master's degree in Biomedical/Clinical Engineering or equivalent is required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba is required.
  • Active membership in at least one of the following organizations is required: American College of Clinical Engineering, Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society, Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, or Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
