Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team at the Balmoral Centre, a 25-bed medically-supervised withdrawal management stabilization centre. The successful candidate will provide nursing services to individuals requiring treatment for substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and care during the acute stages of intoxication to safely withdraw from substances
  • Administer medication, including OAT, as prescribed by medical staff
  • Coordinate nursing services, including stabilization, education, and group programming
  • Refer and link clients with medical, counseling, addiction treatment, harm reduction, and mental health services
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Work as part of a team to provide 24/7 nursing services

Requirements

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Experience working in a withdrawal management or addiction treatment setting
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to clients
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
