Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Skid Steer Equipment Operator to join our team in Winnipeg. As a key member of our snow removal crew, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, including pickup trucks and skid steers, to clear snow and ice from commercial properties.
Responsibilities- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and other designated areas.
- Maintain clean sites, ensuring no property damage during snow removal operations.
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for snow removal, especially during heavy snowfalls or severe weather conditions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch to report road conditions, progress, and any issues encountered.
- Work in challenging weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snowstorms, and potentially at night, to ensure timely snow removal.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time logs, equipment maintenance records, and reports on materials used.
- 3 years of experience in previous snow removal roles.
- Flexible hours, often overnight, including weekends and holidays.
- On-call availability from November to April.
- Cell phone data plan required.
