Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the overall operations of the hospital and Apotex Centre during after-hours shifts, ensuring timely transfers, quality of care, and appropriate staffing levels.

- Work closely with staff to ensure the smooth operation of clinical areas, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.

- Authorize and optimize the use of staff resources, including replacement and reassignment of staff, to maintain optimal staffing levels and skills mix.

- Foster a patient and family-centered care approach, engaging interprofessional team members in addressing issues identified by patients and families.

- Provide support and leadership in crisis situations, including Emergency Codes and Incident Management System meetings.

- Ensure compliance with legislated requirements, professional standards, and accreditation standards for care and safety.

Requirements:

- Current membership in good standing with a Regulated Health Discipline Professional College in Ontario.

- Baccalaureate Degree with a Master's Degree achieved or evidence of a Master's Degree in progress.

- Current and valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

- Significant experience in the hospital and long-term care sector, with at least 3 years of progressive leadership.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

- Highly developed critical thinking skills, including the ability to conceptualize problems, quickly analyze and make decisions.
