Job Overview

B.C. LTD. is seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Maintenance Technician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who can assist our maintenance team with a variety of tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, operating industrial vacuum cleaners, emptying trash cans, and making minor repairs to heating and cooling systems. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, and wax floors, hallways, and stairs
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • Making minor repairs to heating and cooling systems, contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
  • Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work at various locations, including construction sites
  • Physically demanding role requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling
