About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our team at the University of Ottawa. As a key member of our digital team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our web presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in the planning, development, and implementation of our web sites.
  • Ensure the integrated management of communications, change management, and training for the web community.
  • Supervise a team of Web Developers and/or Web Content Management Specialists.
  • Take a leadership role in advising stakeholders on matters related to web deliverables and the resolution of technical issues.

Requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in managing large web sites.
  • Knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of IT business standards and processes.
  • Expertise in web metrics, analysis, and user trends.
  • Experience in leading a team of IT professionals.
  • Experience in the selection, installation, and maintenance of IT assets.
  • Experience in communications and change management strategies.
  • Experience in recommending and leading technology changes in large organizations.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual – French and English (spoken and written).
