Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at RRL FREIGHT SYSTEMS LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, coordinating activities with other work units or departments, and ensuring the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee operational logistics of the organization
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • Ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries
  • Maintain work records and logs
  • Perform general office duties
  • Provide customer service
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Arrange training for staff
  • Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
  • Follow-up on issues with work orders
  • Keep track of shipments
  • Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
  • Maintain vehicle operator work records
  • Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
  • Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
  • Organize and maintain inventory
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the field
  • Knowledge of dispatch management service software, MS Outlook, Quick Books, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Windows
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Organized, team player, accurate, analytical, and proactive
