Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our operations management team. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic, operational, and performance targets while fostering a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent aligned with StructureCraft's values. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in operations management, construction, and project management, with a proven track record of managing the P&L for a medium-sized construction firm.

The successful candidate will have strong managerial, communication, and presentation skills, as well as exceptional integrity and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment. You will work closely with our business development and estimating teams to provide input for accurate estimates, particularly for complex projects. In addition, you will oversee all operational aspects to meet client needs, earning respect and trust from staff and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects to meet client needs, earning respect and trust from staff and consultants
• Develop and implement strategic, operational, and performance targets while fostering a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent aligned with StructureCraft's values
• Work closely with our business development and estimating teams to provide input for accurate estimates, particularly for complex projects
• Oversee project activities for concurrent projects up to $50M+
• Manage internal workflow, quality control, and safety
• Facilitate communication among staff and assess the financial impact of proposed actions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in construction management
• Proven track record of managing the P&L for a medium-sized construction firm
• Strong managerial, communication, and presentation skills
• Exceptional integrity and ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment
• Strong familiarity with design-build contracting
• Education and registration as a Professional Engineer would be a strong asset
