At Intermountain Trucking Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As an experienced professional, you will play a crucial role in transporting goods and materials across various locations.

About the Job

This is a permanent full-time position with a competitive salary of $**$70,000-$90,000 per year**, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement.

The successful candidate will operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality service. They will also oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing necessary maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Loading and unloading goods while maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintaining excellent communication skills, using GPS and navigation equipment to ensure efficient routing.
  • Conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to guarantee the vehicle's safety and security.
  • Collaborating with central dispatch to receive and relay critical information.
  • Documenting cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Ability to work extended periods, including nights and weekends.
  • Flexibility to travel cross-border and for extended periods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
