Job Summary

This role is responsible for ensuring the effective management of human resources within Agnico Eagle's Nunavut operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Documentation Management: Process, verify, and update documentation related to HR activities, including legal employee documents, performance management, and statistics;
  2. Employee Data Management: Accurately and promptly create employee records in JD Edwards in accordance with payroll deadlines;
  3. Status Changes: Process employee status changes for various Nunavut divisions;
  4. Data Integrity: Ensure the integrity of JD Edwards data through standard auditing practices;
  5. Onboarding Support: Provide support with the onboarding of new employees;
  6. Policy Guidance: Advise employees on relevant policies and procedures, or direct inquiries to the appropriate person;
  7. Reporting and Research: Execute various reports, compare data, statistics, and other information, and conduct research as required;
  8. Employee Engagement: Assist the HR counselors with recognition and social activities;
  9. Office Administration: Manage office supplies for the MIR office;
  10. Flight Management: Administer the employee compensation linked to flight delays or cancellations;
  11. General HR Support: Assist with other HR-related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Certificate or bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration;
  • Minimum three years' experience in a human resource role;
  • Experience with JD Edwards is considered a strong asset;
  • Very detail-oriented and able to handle multiple priorities;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum.
