Location: Various School Sites in Oakville
Hours of Work: Part-Time position, Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 9:00am and/or 2:30pm to 6:00pm

A Typical Day in Our Program:
  • Inspire and engage children in a nurturing environment, promoting positive interactions.
  • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where every child's well-being is at the core.
  • Implement the YMCA curriculum, customizing it to meet the diverse needs of each child.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Communicate sensitively and courteously with children, parents, and the wider community.
  • Contribute to children's well-being by assisting with meals and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Uphold YMCA Standards, adhering to all Policies and Practices.

Requirements to Thrive in This Role:
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children aged 4 to 12.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy behavior, with confidentiality.
  • Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment.
  • Standard First Aid & Infant/Child CPR Level C certification.
  • Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
