Alberta Health Services is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team in Edmonton. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with an interprofessional team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to prioritize patient care and manage patient flow
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Emergency Nurses Paediatric Course (ENCP) certification
- Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
