We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join our team on a full-time basis for two (2) years with two (2) one-year optional renewal periods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the evolution of deliverables throughout the solution acquisition, planning, design, development/configuration and implementation phases of the initiatives and solutions.

Solution Design and Architecture

  • Create and document the overall architecture of the clinical information solution, ensuring it aligns with the project's technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Design how the CIS will integrate with existing systems, such as electronic health records (EHRs), laboratory systems, and other government health information systems.
  • Ensure the system is scalable to accommodate future growth and perform efficiently under the expected load.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to the implementation teams, including defining architecture principles, technical standards, and best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including government officials, healthcare professionals, and IT teams, to ensure the technical aspects of the solution meet the needs of all parties.
  • Work with quality assurance teams to develop testing strategies and ensure the system meets functional and non-functional requirements.

Compliance and Security

  • Evaluate the solution against healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., PHIPPA, RTIPPA), as well as provincial and federal data protection laws.
  • Develop and implement security protocols to protect sensitive health data, including encryption, access controls, and secure data transmission.

Business Architecture

  • Develop and maintain a business architecture model that aligns business strategy with digital advancements, ensuring that technology solutions support the organization's goals.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and ensuring seamless integration across departments.
  • Define and document key business capabilities, ensuring clear connections between strategic goals, resources, and IT solutions.

The language of work is English, French is an asset. The salary range for this position is estimated to be $100,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience.
