Job Summary:

BWXT Canada Ltd. is a world leader in design, engineering, manufacture, construction and service of nuclear power generation equipment. We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Inspector to join our production team at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform non-destructive examinations and conduct quality assurance activities.
  • Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
  • Create inspection reports and maintain documentation.
  • Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with internal team members and customer representatives.
  • Work in a safe manner, complying with health, safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
Requirements:
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety.
  • Must possess one of the following: CEDO UT CGSB-1 RT CGSB-1 2 years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWXT Canada Ltd.; 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company or 5 years Fitting/Welding experience within BWXT Canada Ltd.; Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
  • Commitment to quality and ability to work as a positive, effective team member.
  • Proficient with computer software.
  • Availability to work any of the following shifts: Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon – Thurs) Nights: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs) Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun – 33 hrs paid 40 hrs)
