Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Infrastructure Planning Manager. In this role, you will work closely with community governments across the Northwest Territories to plan, develop, and review their capital investment plans.

As an Infrastructure Planning Manager, you will provide strategic advice and implementation strategies to maximize the useful life and effectiveness of infrastructure and infrastructure dollars. You will work collaboratively with community governments, MACA staff, and other stakeholders to achieve project management goals.

To be successful in this position, you will require an undergraduate degree in engineering, planning, project management, physical science, or a related field, along with 3 years of professional experience in a related area such as project management of capital infrastructure projects, municipal infrastructure, municipal program delivery, and infrastructure planning for water and sanitation, earthworks, transportation systems, and building construction, including regulatory activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with community governments to plan, develop, and review capital investment plans
  • Provide strategic advice and implementation strategies to maximize infrastructure effectiveness
  • Work collaboratively with MACA staff and other stakeholders to achieve project management goals
  • Develop and implement project management plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Provide guidance on project management best practices and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, planning, project management, physical science, or a related field
  • 3 years of professional experience in a related area, such as project management of capital infrastructure projects, municipal infrastructure, municipal program delivery, and infrastructure planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with community governments, MACA staff, and other stakeholders
