We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Front Desk Agent to join our team at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

Our resort offers ski-in, ski-out convenience in the winter, and an on-site championship golf course in the summer. Salary and Benefits

The starting rate of pay for this role is $19.70 per hour. We recognize tenure through our compensation plan, with hourly rates increasing after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years, the pay rate for this role would be $23.95 per hour. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer subsidized staff accommodation, complimentary meals in our staff cafeteria, and access to our Employee Travel Program.

Job Description

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure. Your duties will include greeting and checking in guests, responding to requests, settling accounts, and maintaining accurate records of daily transactions.

You will also serve as a sales agent, promoting and up-selling hotel services to our guests. This may involve suggesting activities or amenities that enhance their stay, such as ski passes or golf tee times. To succeed in this role, you must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be able to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.

  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
  • Previous front desk experience is required, previous customer service experience is an asset
