Executive Director

The Pemberton Arts Council is seeking a visionary Executive Director to lead our organization in promoting arts and culture in Pemberton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving our strategic plan, managing staff resources, and fostering partnerships with community stakeholders.

• Leadership & Management:
  • Develop and implement effective management strategies to drive program excellence
  • Lead, coach, and develop volunteers to achieve organizational goals
  • Oversee the management of the Pemberton Arts Council's assets
• Fundraising & Communications:
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support program operations and expansion
  • Enhance communications, marketing, and brand reputation to promote the organization's mission
  • Build relationships to create and capitalize on new opportunities
• Planning & New Business:
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to create a strategic plan that supports arts in Pemberton and drives the organization's vision
  • Build local and regional partnerships to promote the organization's mandate and support local artists
  • Develop and implement new programs to promote arts and culture in Pemberton

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of management experience in the arts, culture, or creative sector
• Experience working with non-profit organizations and Boards of Directors
• Experience working with local, provincial, and federal governments
• Excellent organizational management skills, with the ability to coach and empower others
• Strong financial management and budgeting skills
• Past success working with Boards of Directors, with the ability to cultivate existing relationships and develop new ones
• Strong marketing, public relations, and communications skills
• Knowledge of graphic design, social media engagement strategies, and website management
• Proficiency in G-Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, and Drive)
• Past fundraising experience, including grant writing and sponsor partnerships
• Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Effective creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically
• An entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
