Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control Student to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a Document Control Student, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of project documentation, supporting the success of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Control: Ensure all project documents are filed electronically and in the project-specific website (PDC), and maintain a record of these filings in the PCL document control log.
- Documentation Preparation: Prepare cover letters and necessary documentation for distribution to personnel and subcontractors.
- Drawing Management: Link necessary construction drawings to consultant groups and distribute correspondences of change updates as they come in.
- Coordination and Support: Coordinate, mark up, and update drawings; assist with the work of the project procurement program; coordinate work-specific scope and trades; perform quantity take-offs; document SI's, RFI's, and change orders for the project site; and review and edit project documentations.
Requirements
- Education: Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering-related field.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience: Experience with data entry, compiling of files, and distribution of project documentation is an asset.
