Job Description



Daniels Health is a leading provider of waste management solutions, committed to making healthcare safer through the reduction of needle-stick injuries and cross-contamination. As a Class 5 Route Driver with Air Brakes, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe transportation of medical waste and supplies.



Salary

The hourly rate for this position is between $23-$23, reflecting the importance of this role in our operations.



Responsibilities


  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and report any defects or issues with the vehicle or equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, taking care to secure items properly to prevent damage to products and the truck.
  • Drive local and occasional out-of-town routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including packing slips and manifests, in compliance with TDG regulations.
  • Perform daily commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.


Requirements


  • A valid Class 5 license with air brakes endorsement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling weights of up to 60 pounds or more.
  • Minimum 12 months verifiable driving experience within the last 36 months.
  • Clean CVOR and driver's abstract (dated within the last 30 days).
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including reference checks, background checks, and physical examinations.
  • Safe loading and securing of materials, as well as meeting physical demands of the role.
  • Ability to drive safely and complete compliance paperwork and shipping documents.
