Job Description:Role Overview

We're seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering Product Development to join our team at Float Financial Solutions Inc. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you'll oversee the end-to-end delivery of our corporate card and spend management platform.

  • You will split your time between being a hands-on contributor and leading a team of talented engineers.
  • You'll own the technical integrity of the product, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of new features and improvements.
  • You'll represent engineering in all key meetings, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.
Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers through the product development lifecycle.
  • Ship high-quality code to production in an iterative fashion while meeting key product deadlines.
  • Work with your team to design high-throughput and stable systems.
  • Talk to customers to understand their needs.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that could affect project timelines or product quality.
  • Develop, implement, and refine engineering processes and practices to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
RequirementsExperience

To be successful in this role, we're looking for 7-10+ years of B2B SaaS, startup experience. Experience with business payments, banking, and finance is a bonus.

  • You've led an engineering team at a growing startup and want to join another early-stage company to do it all again.
  • You have previous experience leading teams of engineers and partnering with product managers, product designers, product ops, data analysts, etc.
  • You care about the details with a strong data-driven metrics approach.
