About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Hydronic Technical Sales Representative to join our team at EMCO Corporation. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to build relationships with customers, grow sales, and contribute to the success of our business.

As a Hydronic Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and growing the heating market through proactive sales and customer engagement
  • Providing exceptional customer service by offering expert advice, product information, and recommendations
  • Identifying customer needs and promoting existing and new Hydronic products to meet sales objectives
  • Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Hydronics products and their applications
  • Supporting customer inquiries with technical guidance on Hydronics products and installations
  • Troubleshooting and helping create solutions for customers when problems arise
  • Building and sustaining effective working relationships with vendors
  • Providing quotations, technical support, and literature to customers to maintain strong relationships and help meet sales targets
  • Examining market opportunities and identifying new potential customers
  • Providing recommendations on new products, services, and market trends to customers and our team
  • Participating in trade shows, training, and vendor product meetings to stay up-to-date on product knowledge, emerging trends, rebates, and product offerings
  • Understanding and following all safety regulations at customer locations and at our facilities
  • Performing other tasks as requested by our Profit Centre Manager

Requirements

  • A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; a College and/or University degree is an asset
  • Outstanding customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
  • Ability to learn and operate our applicable software system used to process orders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Possess a valid Driver's License

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with or knowledge of hydronics products sold at our facilities
  • Ability to use the Internet as a resource to problem solve and find alternative solutions for customers
  • Experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook
