Job Description:

We are seeking a Surety Client Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting Surety Client Managers with tasks related to maintaining a book of business, servicing client needs, and developing market relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients manage their surety facility and requirements by producing bonds and invoicing tasks
  • Monitor and manage the collection of accounts receivables in accordance with JDIMI Receivables Policy
  • Prepare and execute tender and final bond documents
  • Prepare indemnity agreements, prequalification letters, LCBA letters, change of broker letters, etc.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical files for easy access and retrieval
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management on bond activity and underwriting performance
  • Coordinate communication between underwriters, agents, and clients to ensure timely responses
  • Track deadlines for applications, renewals, and other critical tasks
  • Help manage workflow and prioritize tasks to support the underwriting team effectively
  • Gather and analyze contract documents and credit reports to assist in risk assessment
  • Prepare and maintain underwriting files and documentation for compliance
  • Communicate with agents and clients to obtain necessary information and clarify details
  • Monitor existing bonds and assist in renewal processes
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss underwriting strategies, updates, and overall operations management

Estimated Salary Range:

$55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 to 2 years Commercial Surety/Bonding/Construction experience
  • RIBO, ACSB, CAIB, and CIP designations preferred or at minimum working towards the designations
  • Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, EPIC, and Bondworks
  • Firm understanding of industry and software products
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to influence others in a co-operative manner
  • Works well both in a group environment and autonomously
  • Solid understanding of financial statements and the Canadian construction market as well as an interest in developing into a surety expert
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills
