We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at the corporate head office in Etobicoke.

About the Role:

This is a leadership position that involves overseeing all aspects of strategic human resources practices and processes within the business at the corporate level. The successful candidate will partner with the management team to implement change management and HR solutions in support of business strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement human resource programs, policies, practices, and procedures that improve business performance and ensure compliance, consistency, and equity.
  • Design and deliver employee development programs to grow the talent of the organization, working closely with area managers and management.
  • Oversee recruitment processes from job posting to onboarding, ensuring alignment with staffing needs and company goals.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the manufacturing environment seamlessly.
  • Identify, design, and implement training and organizational development initiatives that strengthen the effectiveness of staff, leadership, and organization performance.
  • Ensure compliance with various legal requirements relating to employment law, health and safety, and insurance, as well as handle all legal matters that may arise.
  • Counsel managers in employment-related issues, including human resource planning, performance management, and discipline.
  • Support career development initiatives to promote employee growth and retention.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in human resources management or a relevant field.
  • CHRP certification.
  • Proven experience as an HR manager in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated change management capabilities and experience.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with management and employees.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to keep key stakeholders informed, make presentations, and facilitate training.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
What We Offer:

This hybrid role offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.

This position reports to the VP Human Resources and involves some travel to other locations.
