We are seeking an experienced Electrical Transformer Assembler to join our team at Trans-Tec Inc., a leading manufacturer of electrical transformers and control equipment. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints. This includes compressing steel laminations to build transformer cores, assembling winding into core and making electrical connections, and interpreting engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints.

The ideal candidate will have experience with crimping, brazing, and soldering equipment, as well as production machinery and coil winding machines. They will also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods and handling weights up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and fit metal and prefabricated parts to close tolerances according to blueprints
  • Compress steel laminations to build transformer cores
  • Assemble winding into core and make electrical connections
  • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
  • Assemble and fit electrical motor or transformer auxiliary equipment
  • Fit electrical control devices into switchboards and panelboards
  • Wire electrical connections for switchboards and panel boards
  • Assemble panelboard and switchboard cabinets and install bus bars
  • Monitor production and troubleshoot production problems
  • Check final assembly for adherence to quality control standards
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in this field
  • High school graduation certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Hand-eye co-ordination and attention to detail
Benefits
