About the Role

As a Strategic Community Liaison Specialist at the Port of Quebec, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring that the port's orientations and actions meet the community's needs and expectations. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate stakeholder relations, including organizing and coordinating meetings with various committees, monitoring actions, supervising data analysis, and managing reports.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a stakeholder management tool to document team interactions and ensure seamless communication.
  • Conduct thorough research and prepare documents to support committee decision-making and facilitate informed discussions.
  • Evaluate logistics for committees, public consultations, and other events to guarantee smooth execution and effective engagement.
  • Cultivate collective intelligence through tools and workshops to gather and analyze ideas from internal and external sources, driving social innovation within the organization.
  • Monitor and manage Green Alliance criteria, sound issues, and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) actions on an annual basis, ensuring compliance and progress towards sustainability goals.
  • Analyze comments, concerns, and nuisances through in-depth strategic analyses to formulate recommendations for port management and key stakeholders.
  • Develop practices to automate reporting and increase efficiency, optimizing processes and reducing administrative burdens.
  • Liaise with operators to resolve cohabitation issues and optimize operation notices, promoting collaboration and effective problem-solving.
  • Create and distribute the internal newsletter to inform and engage employees and the community around company projects, fostering transparency and participation.
  • Manage relations with First Nations and ensure inclusive participation through the 'Je Participe' platform and PEPC consultations, upholding diversity and equity principles.
  • Coordinate the implementation of the Community Fund and promote supported projects to foster sustainable development at the port.
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen civic engagement and compliance with EDI (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) practices, enhancing the organization's commitment to social responsibility.
