Job Overview

A dynamic role within Béton Provincial is available for an experienced Operations and Parts Procurement Specialist. This position will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing parts inventory for various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and managing parts for crushing operations, asphalt plant, garage, and trucks.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure optimal prices and delivery schedules.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all purchases to ensure proper part quantities.
  • Organizing and planning mechanics for repairs and maintenance.
  • Scheduling appointments with subcontractors as needed.
  • Monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages and ensure rapid reorganization of parts.
  • Collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to understand parts requirements and ensure availability.
  • Resolving issues related to backorders, late deliveries, and discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Preparing and submitting purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of parts.
  • Assisting in the organization and maintenance of the parts room or warehouse.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Proven expertise in parts sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with equipment and parts used in crushing, asphalt, and trucking operations is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work on multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • People management skills are an asset.
  • Attention to detail.
