About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Planner to join our team at the University of Ottawa. As a key member of our Campus Design and Sustainability department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our campus infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on project planning and space management to support the University's teaching, research, and administrative programs.
  • Collaborate with faculties and departments to discuss their vision and needs, and develop solutions to optimize and modernize teaching, research, and learning spaces.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and architectural or infrastructure programming studies to evaluate and develop solutions that meet the University's objectives.
Requirements
  • University degree in project management, site development, engineering, or architecture, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in real property or institutional real property management.
  • Professional accreditation in a related field is an asset.
  • Knowledge of project approval, development, and planning, as well as municipal infrastructure planning or commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience with computer-assisted property management and computer-assisted drawing software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policies, standards, codes, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is a requirement.
