About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead our Server Programmability team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the foundational layers of our Server codebase.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of individual contributors, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and career growth.
  • Balance coding, designing, mentorship, and leadership responsibilities to deliver features on a predictable schedule.
  • Maintain expertise on state-of-the-art software technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate changes and identify, design, implement, test, and support new features.
  • Advocate for writing secure, robust, and well-reasoned industrial-strength software.
What You'll Achieve

You will have contributed to a project slated for the next major version of the MongoDB server and fixed bugs in a minor version of our latest stable release series.
