Senior Project Engineer - Water Resources

Robinson Consultants Inc. is a leading engineering firm seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer - Water Resources to join our dynamic team in Ottawa or Hamilton. As a key member of our water resources team, you will work on a wide range of design projects, including culvert design, surface drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and natural watercourse restoration and rehabilitation design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project engineering teams to define project scope, prepare budgets and schedules, and provide technical direction and oversight.
  • Perform technical engineering tasks efficiently and accurately, with a focus on increasing complexity.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior and intermediate staff.
  • Prepare detailed project reports and manage the preparation of technical proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subconsultants and other engineering disciplines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with current Professional Engineer licensure.
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering design experience, including culvert design, surface drainage design, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
  • Highly proficient in water resources engineering principles and practices, including current processes, practices, and standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to balance diverse priorities and meet project milestones.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, with bilingualism considered a strong asset.
