Courier Team Lead

Job Summary
This is a leadership position that oversees daily sort, delivery, and pickup activities. The Courier Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of employees, ensuring best practices are followed, and modeling the way for hourly employees. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of FedEx Canada's operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of delivery personnel and oversee daily operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve delivery efficiency
- Mentor and coach employees to enhance their skills and performance
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 2 years of current courier experience. Valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential. Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Personal development in Excel and knowledge of FedEx Canada's products and operations are assets.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Schedule may change based on operational needs, and weekends may be required.
