401 Dixie Hyundai is a leading dealership in the automotive industry, seeking a skilled Technician Apprentice to join our team. We are committed to providing exceptional customer service and delivering top-notch repair and maintenance work.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for students of Motive Power to gain hands-on experience and support their academic studies through a COOP/internship program.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist other apprentices in building tire sets and perform inventory duties during tire season.
  • Contribute to general shop duties, as discussed during the interview process.

Opportunities for Growth and Development:

  • Perform oil and filter changes, lubrication services, safety inspections, and related tasks.
  • Complete multi-point vehicle inspections, mark required items on a list, and present findings to the Service Advisor.
  • Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires, and add air as needed.
  • Diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of vehicles, including inspections of hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other components.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components, including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine and drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling and climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 1st year Apprentice with basic computer skills and experience in oil change and tire servicing.
  • Shop or dealership experience is preferred, and the ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting (50-75 lbs), standing for long periods, and using power and hand-held equipment.
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving history are mandatory.

Compensation Package: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience and performance.
