Portage la Prairie, Canada Southern Health-Santé Sud Full time

The Southern Health-Santé Sud organization invites applications for a full-time General ENT Surgeon to join their team in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.

This position is an excellent opportunity to work in a 88-bed hospital serving a population of approximately 50,000. The hospital offers various services, including two operating theatres, diagnostic imaging, lab, and emergency department. Anesthesia services are provided by Family Practice Anesthetists.

The successful candidate will have a broad-based skillset in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. They should be proficient in standard procedures such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tympanostomy tube insertion, septoplasty endoscopic sinus surgery, treatment of epistaxis and peritonsillar abscesses, as well as airway management. Ear surgery and allergy testing and treatment, including immunotherapy, are assets but not required.

On call services are compensated by stipend, and remuneration is fee for service. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join the Portage Clinic, a private clinic located near the hospital. This clinic provides billing services, EMR, and dictation services.

The location, Portage la Prairie, is a city with over 13,000 people in the heart of Manitoba. It has easy access to Winnipeg and Brandon, as well as provincial and national parks. The area offers various recreation options, including waterparks, golf courses, and beaches.

The successful candidate will hold certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and be eligible for regular licensure from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Salary Range: $350,000 - $450,000 per year
